RepoPulseAI Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

This policy covers both the RepoPulseAI website and the RepoPulseAI GitHub App. It explains what data RepoPulseAI uses, how that data is handled, and how to contact the operator if you need clarification.

Effective date: March 31, 2026

What RepoPulseAI Accesses
RepoPulseAI reads repository data needed to generate health analysis and GitHub checks.

Depending on the permissions granted to the GitHub App, RepoPulseAI may access repository metadata, commits, pull requests, issues, and contributor activity.

RepoPulseAI does not claim access to data outside the permissions granted by the user or organization.

If a data source is not available under the current permission set, RepoPulseAI treats it as unavailable and reports that clearly in the analysis.

AI Provider Keys
RepoPulseAI supports both deployment-level AI keys and user-supplied keys.

If the website operator configures server-side AI credentials, analysis requests may use those keys on the hosted deployment.

If a user provides their own AI key in the UI, RepoPulseAI sends that key only with the current analysis request.

RepoPulseAI does not store user-supplied AI keys in its database.

Stored Data
Some analysis results may be stored when persistence is enabled.

When database persistence is enabled, RepoPulseAI may store repository identifiers, repository metrics, health scores, recommendations, and contributor summary data.

RepoPulseAI is designed to store analysis output and operational metadata, not repository secrets.

If persistence is not enabled, analysis can still run without saving historical snapshots.

GitHub Checks And Webhooks
RepoPulseAI can create GitHub-native checks when webhooks are enabled.

Webhook deliveries may include repository and installation context required to create check runs and link users back to the full RepoPulseAI report.

Those checks are meant to provide a quick repository snapshot inside GitHub while the detailed report lives on the website.

Webhook requests are verified using the configured GitHub webhook secret.

How Data Is Used
RepoPulseAI uses repository data to analyze project condition and present results to users.

RepoPulseAI uses accessible repository data to generate health scores, risk indicators, visual summaries, GitHub checks, and detailed reports.

Data is used to support repository analysis, troubleshooting, and product functionality. It is not described here as being sold or repurposed for unrelated advertising.

Users and organizations should review the permissions granted to the GitHub App before installation and install it only on repositories they intend RepoPulseAI to analyze.
